lyrics

Far beyond our element, descend
In silent diving bells, we return to bed
Heavily, we climb into the depth
We’ll breath in unison, and alleviate the pesky bends

Hold me down, I can’t do this alone
All I ever wanted was a way to let you go

Long beneath the swell, we all succumb
But stay there long enough, you’ll be swallowed whole
Tender on the reins, we’re going up
Without a brandy-wine to replenish us

Hold me down, I’m better off alone
All I ever wanted was a way to let you go

Tender on the reins
You exist to be acknowledged by a memory that forgot you
All the emblematic shame
No longer will you fester in this place

All I ever wanted was a way
All I ever wanted was a way
All I ever wanted was a way
All I ever wanted was a way

(To let you go)

Lurid or inane
You respond in obligation with anathema and hatred
Would you really rather stay
This is the only other option
This is the only way you’re ever gonna learn
